    Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required

    Business Development

    • Increase mindshare for Tech Data Maverick by acquiring net new customers or by expanding existing customer base by proactively demonstrating the value and benefit of the NEW WORLD of AV
    • Develops and implement individual growth account plans and increase Maverick AV Solution’s  share of wallet while you help your customers EXPAND THEIR GLOBAL FOOTPRINT
    • Drive to meet goals assigned to ensure team meets daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly financial objectives and HAVE FUN while you show off your success!
    • Demonstrate the desire, ability, passion and channel AV expertise to generate incremental revenue through the use of AV TECHNOLOGY   
    • Cultivates targeted accounts for future migration into the next customer segment. Help your customer CULTIVATE SUCCESS
    • Promote Maverick AV Solution’s GO-TO-MARKET STRATEGY to customer and vendor executives on a consistent basis.  Have the proven ability to create relevant sales content for unsolicited proposal cadence.

    Market Analysis / Research

    • Attend trainings and enhance your knowledge on the newest and most GAME CHANGING Pro AV and Collaboration solution offerings and trends in the market
    • Establish yourself as the LEADER in go to market Pro AV and Collaboration by evaluating competitive information, offerings, and customer needs and creating more effective AV solutions

    Relationship Management

    • Evoke your PASSION! Like all sales roles, it’s all about building relationships/partnerships!
    • Build influential face to face relationships with STRATEGIC AV PARTNERS and our Vendor Partner's field sales organization, including regional leadership and executive contacts. 
    • Travel weekly to deliver professional onsite strategic conversations with your customers and be the FACE of MAVERICK AV SOLUTIONS at business partner events, seminars, trade shows and Tech Data marketing events.
    • Promotes Maverick AV Solutions and Vendor Partner ENABLEMENT tools for segment-specific sales and marketing programs.

    Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions

    • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

      • This is a field/remote position, the person filling this role can live anywhere in the South Central region but primary travel will be in within the state of Texas
      • This position covers 6 states in the South Central US
      • Pro AV / Unified Communications and Collaboration experience preferred. Be proficient in demonstrating your expertise in the industry  
      • Experience working with sales financial models and supporting financial documents
      • Demonstrate your ability to sell value across both short and long term sell cycles
      • Show off your presentation skills with Executive-Level partners. 
      • Required travel up to 60% of the time both within region and out of region.  
      • Effective Time Management. Ideal candidate is able to demonstrate strong time management and planning skills necessary to be a successful Maverick AV Solution Account Specialist
      • Additional duties as assigned
      • Meets attendance and punctuality standards

      Required Experience and Education (Years & Type):

      • High School Diploma Required
      • 4+ years in Pro AV / Unified Communication industry
      • 3-4 years of IT channel field experience
      • CTS and DSCE certifications preferred

      Preferred Education/Experience:

      • Bachelor's Degree within a business discipline
