Job Summary: Performs a variety of product, technical and engineering support functions inclusive of research, design and development of computer software/hardware systems. Creates, presents and/or executes strategies and prioritizes activities based on critical path analysis. Consults with customers on a regular basis concerning design, development and maintenance of product. Coordinates installation procedures. Assists sales field teams and customers with technical solutions to support the customer's business objectives. May also perform other similar responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Principal Responsibilities: Assists in analyzing data to determine feasibility of product proposal. Resolves all technical issues. Documents build process and trains auditing staff on customer requirements. Consults with other technology staff to evaluate operational and performance requirements of overall design. Confers with customers and engineering group to clarify and/or resolve problems. Prepares or directs preparation of product or system layout. Reviews change requests, evaluates impact of change, and provides implementation timelines. May implement engineering change orders to documentation and build process. Communicates engineering change notifications to sales and customer. Integrates and configures a variety of Enterprise hardware, operating system software and peripherals assembling Enterprise Systems, disk drives, mass storage devices and peripheral equipment and/or other related components. Troubleshoots and resolves integration and configuration problems involving system analysis. Troubleshoots problems to diagnose malfunctions and equipment failures and takes appropriate actions based on process requirements. Completes appropriate documentation regarding defective parts replacement, shipping, build process updates, etc. May lead and/or participate in onsite customer service activities including, but not limited to, installation, troubleshooting, repair, and optimization services. May assist with presales requirements gathering and post-sales support activities. Job Level Specifications: Acquiring basic knowledge of job content, practices and procedures. Work Experience: Typically less than one year Education and Certification(s): High School Diploma or equivalent Distinguishing Characteristics: Specific department may require specialized certification, e.g. A+. Position may require travel. Overtime may be required based on business need.
