    The ideal candidate is someone who:

    • Possesses the creative flexibility to authentically communicate in the distinct voices of marquee technology brands like Apple, IBM, Cisco, Dell, Microsoft and others across a given week
    • Conceptualizes big ideas for client campaigns and messaging that goes across a broad spectrum of collateral: print, interactive, e-marketing, lead gen, events, conference, video, and motion
    • Reinforces the Tech Data brand internally and externally: provides copy for employee initiatives as well as community ads, blogs, and other external outlets
    • Meets writing assignments with confidence and energy: has the technical curiosity to distill a spec benefits list into a compelling business outcome story and the ability to write engaging web copy for a 500-person event.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required

    • Demonstrates creative thinking and exceptional writing ability
    • Creates and develops promotion, advertising, and other communications as requested. Brainstorms marketing concepts and communicate them effectively to creative services for graphical execution
    • Presents and explains creative work (and the work of others) in group meetings to clients and prospects
    • Creates concepts to strategically position new products and services
    •  Builds messaging platforms and proposals, and presents and sells them in client pitches
    • Writes compelling headlines, subject lines, body copy, and calls-to-action
    •  Aligns copy with art direction
    • Translates technical services into marketing and demand-generation campaigns that communicate clear business messages and value propositions.
    •  Edits copy for clarity, message, grammar and compliance with Tech Data style conventions
    •  Stays up-to-date on key technology, market and industry trends affecting company business segments
    •  Conducts research as required to identify, collect and incorporate pertinent market and industry data into marketing materials
    • Adapts writing style to vendor, reseller, and end-user audiences „X Adapts writing style to Web, print and other media
    • Ensures content is on target for all assigned marketing communications materials „X Develops and executes comprehensive marketing campaigns
    • Executes all assigned projects
    • Discusses scheduling and service level agreements regularly with Traffic
    • Utilizes the traffic production tool (Workamajig) to manage client projects
    • Prioritizes work and provides project status reports as requested by manager or supervisor
    • Able to understand business strategy and solve problems creatively
