    The Product Purchasing Manaer drives and manages the procurement processes and relationships with all stakeholders to effectively support sales and marketing revenue and profit objectives: ensures product availability to sell by achieving specific fill rates and targeted levels of sell through composite gross profit dollars, drives and supports back-end rebates programs and differentiated cost opportunities. Manages and protects the inventory assets of the company to minimize inventory related financial exposure. Devises, builds consensus and executes on plans and methods to achieve high customer (internal/external) and vendor satisfaction relative to inventory and asset management. Reduces costs and increases efficiencies within the supply chain. Plans and performs purchasing duties for assigned vendors regarding either medium to high volume or more complex or more strategic product lines.

     

     

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required

    • Analyzes and manages inventory levels, days of supply, depreciation and product availability to support the revenue/profit objectives and protect the inventory assets of the company
    • Responds to inbound internal and external customers' transactional inquiries regarding inventory; answers questions and resolves current issues via phone, e-mail and in face to face meetings
    • Interacts and negotiates with internal and external customers to develop, implement and reinforce buy-in and rebate programs and other purchasing opportunities
    • Analyzes data and reports in order to make sku level purchasing decisions
    • Makes purchasing decisions; places and maintains purchase orders to ensure product availability to sell
    • Develops and adjusts quarterly inventory plans including forecasting and tracking sales
    • Prepares and provides reporting to vendors, customers and management
    • Expedites product shipment and receipt
    • Secures exception product returns
    • Participates in projects and looks for other opportunities to improve the supply chain efficiencies
    • Performs additional duties as assigned
    • Meets attendance and punctuality standards

    • Major in business a plus
    • Product management, vendor relations, sales, marketing or purchasing / procurement experience desired
