The Candidate is responsible for managing a team of employees, general ledger financial close and reporting activities, which includes oversight of manual journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis and periodic financial reporting.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required

    • Oversees financial reporting and analysis to ensure integrity, accuracy and timeliness. 
    • Ensure that close and reporting deadlines are met. 
    • Ensure the internal control requirements are met.  
    • Deliver process improvements throughout the financial statement close in order to streamline and shorten the close process. 
    • Provide ad hoc accounting project support and/or oversight for system enhancements. 
    • Promotes a customer service focused environment in support of internal customers.
    • Work cross functionally to drives continuous improvement initiatives. 
    • Oversee the work and processes of the staff. 

    Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions

    Knowledge & Skills:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
    • 5 - 10 years experience in Accounting or Finance
    • 1-2 years of management experience in the areas of Accounting and Finance
    • CPA preferred but not required
    • Knowledge of SOX compliance, Sarbanes Oxley requirements and multisystem reporting

    • Breadth of Management: Span of Direct Reports - Generally manages team members doing similar tasks.
    • May manage exempt and/or nonexempt team members.
    • May manage supervisors as well.
    • Human Relation Skills required:
    • Very good communication skills (oral and written).
    • Adaptable to change, high decision quality, professionalism, team work, ability to recognize and reward team members, ability to hire, develop and retain talent, ability to effectively deal with employee relations issues, demonstrates leadership and self assuredness.


    Problem Solving:

    • HIGH level of "self starting" thinking required for analysis, evaluation, creating, reasoning, and drawing conclusions/solutions; HIGH complexity of mental process to achieve in the role in order to come to solutions.
    • Maintain confidentiality of senstitive information.
