  • Overview

    Performs daily and monthly accounting processes and transactions. Completes various account analyses and/or account reconciliations. Identifies, researches, resolves and escalates issues (e.g. variances) impacting financial statements.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required

    • Reconciles assigned vendor statement to Tech Data statement.
    • Maintains invoices entry and monitors payments for assigned vendors.
    • Monitors error reports for associated vendors.
    • Foster good working relationship with assigned vendors and other departments within Tech Data.
    • Assists in the preparation of various account analyses and general ledger reconciliations.
    • Escalates issues noted to management in a timely manner
    • Ability to prepare clear and concise documentation
    • Assist team members with vendor issues
    • Performs additional duties as assigned
    • Meets attendance and punctuality standards


    Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions

    • Required Educational: Associates degree minimum, Bachelors or above preferred
    • Approximately 5-8 years experience in Accounting or Finance Manages smaller scale projects by tracking deadlines and collecting/organizing information.
    • Develops knowledge of resources necessary for guidance when applicable.
    • Identifies issues that require escalation and apply appropriate level of escalation.
    • Previous experience or advanced degree in specific job area or function; Identifies areas of risk and exposure and presents alternative solutions.
    • Assimilates research data from a variety of sources.
    • Analyzes and recommends appropriate courses of action to take.
    • Understands the impact of elements and processes as they relate to their functional area.
    • Knowledge and application of intermediate Excel  
    • Good communication skills, attention to detail, adaptable to change, displays accuracy and timeliness, professionalism, teamwork, able to maintain confidential information
    • Problem Solving and self starting thinking required for analysis, evaluation, creating, reasoning, and drawing conclusions/solutions
    • Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
