  • Overview

    The VP Global Talent Management role is a senior leadership role with direct accountability for providing strategic and operational direction related to all areas of Talent Management. He/she is charged with the design, development, and implementation of a comprehensive, innovative Talent Management program and service for the organization. This role is the primary point of contact for the business for talent management; understands their talent management needs, co-develop and ensure execution of the Talent Management/Organization Effectiveness agenda that supports the succession planning and business strategies.

    This role oversees the organizational learning and development function on a global basis. It is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of executive, management, and employee development and training programs; succession planning; performance management practices; employee engagement; employee recognition; new employee on-boarding and other organizational effectiveness programs.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required

    • Understand, Adhere and Enforce all Corporate Policies to include but not limited to Tech Data  Code of Conduct
    • Collaborates with business and HR leaders to develop and communicate a strong vision and global strategy for onboarding, learning & development, leadership development, employee engagement, coaching and mentoring, career development, succession planning, and organizational development which aligns with achieving strategic business goals.
    • Oversees execution of onboarding, learning & development, leadership development, employee engagement, coaching and mentoring, career development, succession planning, and organizational development, ensuring consistency and quality in the management of talent management programs.
    • Implementing best-in-class performance management and workforce planning strategies
    • Leads and collaborates with HR Leaders to ensure the right talent movement and development for Global Leadership successors and key roles
    • Demonstrates strong interpersonal/influence skills in dealing with all levels of management, develops relationships within the organization, and leverages the formal and informal organizational structure to assist in goal achievement.

    Education

    • Extensive background in, onboarding, leadership development, employee engagement, coaching and mentoring, career development, succession planning, learning & development, and organizational design & development.
