Position owns the daily contact with specific, identified accounts. Incumbents work proactively to drive revenues/margins to ensure organizational profitability. Incumbent is seasoned and has the experience to handle complex customer issues.
Identifies and develops business opportunities. Demonstrates broad account knowledge. Creates business plans to uncover new opportunities and increase sales and profits in the territories. Formulates account plans and develops tactics to acquire the business. Is cognizant of where accounts have slipped and makes plans to address. Takes a reactive approach to account management. Calculates SAM. At expert level, manages advanced inbound and outbound sales calls in order to quote prices, provide product information and build relationships with customers. Enters orders and tracks order status. Manages the resolution of more complex issues under minimal direction. Assists associates and reps in resolving complex, important customer problems or issues. Helps resellers get best pricing/deals through alliance with internal Tech Data departments. Informs business partners of vendor-related promotions and floor days. Forms relationships and provides proactive business solutions. Represents Tech Data professionally in daily interface with business partners/customers. Ability to identify and execute creative solutions to non-routine issues and learn from prior experiences. Expert level systems knowledge and capability to navigate through applications. Ability to conduct business analysis, identify opportunities for additional revenues, and perform account planning. Functional level of cross-selling and upselling. Ability to successfully conduct deal-level negotiations. High level of prioritization skills and stress tolerance. High level of interpersonal and collaborative skills. Good communication skills. Some ability to participate in TD projects. Working Conditions: Professional, office environment. 4 yr college degree from a regionally accredited university, or 2 yrs college completed at a regionally accredited university plus specific industry sales exp.*Able to maintain confidentiality of senstitive information.
