  • Overview

    This position is responsible for driving existing HPE technology demand with Resellers to increase and close sales. Has a thorough understanding of the direction of HPE and Tech Data's strategies (or initiatives). Creates and executes business plans for the development of existing reseller accounts to increase sales and profits for HPE product lines and Tech Data. Have a strong passion for the technology industry. Limited travel to Tech Data events and customer sites. 

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Business Development
      • Performs outbound sales calls to develop profitable business with current customers and build relationships with HPE.
      • Owns pipeline opportunities, forecasts, and other performance reports.
      • Works with Sales on developing sales strategies to penetrate accounts.
      • Executes enablement plans with customer growth with designated Vendor Partner, HPE.
      • Prepare and present quarterly business reviews

     

    • Account Management
        • Primary function is to sell the product of HP Enterprise.
        • Works to identify and resolve customer needs.
        • Partners with internal departments to determine optimal pricing to exceed business objectives.
        • Configure optimal solutions to enable customers to maximize opportunities with their end users.
        • Maintains expertise on HPE's company products, programs, competition, and market to be able to answer inquiries in a professional and accurate manner.
        • Assists HPE in creating and implementing business plans to uncover new opportunities with existing accounts to increase profitable growth.
        • Communicates regularly with HPE and Tech Data management to review account performance, market trends, and business development opportunities.

    • Relationship Management
      • Builds influential relationships with the Vendor Partners’ sales teams, Tech Data's sales teams and customers.
      • Participates in HPE and Tech Data sponsored meetings, trade shows, seminars, trainings, and other marketing events.

     Market Analysis / Research

      • Evaluates customer slippage reports to determine customers requiring focused attention and follow-up to regain market share.
      • Tech Data Product / Services Promotions
      • Communicates with customers to build mindshare and gain market share for both Tech Data and HPE.

     

    Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions

    Required Educational:High School/G.E.D.

    Preferred Educational:Bachelor Degree

    Previous Experience (Years & Type):

    2-4 years of sales experience

    Certifications:

    Some positions may need vendor specific technical or sales certifications

    Travel:Minimal travel
