    The Client Solutions Manager will develop Supply Chain Management Services (SCMS) business opportunities by working with Tech Data stakeholders and clients to forecast, design and implement supply chain solutions.  In support of a rapid and profitable growth, the candidate will create cost and price models that meet Tech Data's financial objectives, and will lead the integration effort when business has been awarded.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required

    • Actively participates in the sales cycle by selling the value, capabilities and expertise of Tech Data
    • Updates new business opportunities in CRM
    • Follows up on generated leads
    • Defines and collects RFI/RFQ responses to clients
    • Leads discovery sessions with Tech Data and prospective clients to understand business requirements
    • Documents business requirements for Tech Data and prospective clients
    • Leads Solution design efforts from a Tech Data business perspective
    • Creates accurate cost models of new business opportunities by leveraging engineered standards and a thorough understanding of program specific cost drivers
    • Helps close new opportunites by demonstrating Tech Data's supply chain expertise and ability to execute
    • Creates detailed operational project plans in support of new business integrations
    • Leads cross-functional teams in support of new business integrations
    • Performs additional duties as assigned
    • Meets attendance and punctuality standards
    • Analyze and resolve complex issues and problems in a sound and timely fashion.
    • Create and conduct formal presentations.
    • Be attentive and foster two-way conversation.
    • Diplomatic when handling calls/correspondence for Management.
    • Build solid, effective working relationships with others.

    Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions

    The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.



    • 5-7 years experience with forecasting and implementing Supply Chain Solutions
    • 2 years experience with SAP or ERP.
    • Knowledge of XML and EDI preferred but not required.
    • Bachelors degree is highly preferred but not required.

    Knowledge & Abilities:

    • Neogtiate and forecast solutions with clients Negotiate skillfully, promote/sell ideas persuasively, and close transactions with mutually beneficial results.
    • Understanding of efficiency imporvements and order management systems.
    • High aptitude and understanding of current technology and desire to continue implementing process improvements.
    • Able to think strategically and tactically.
    • Strong ability to negotiate and speak directly with clients
    • Possesses strong leadership skills with a willingness to lead, create new ideas, and be assertive.
    • Design and develop sophisticated models for related area of responsibility.
    • Display a preference for interacting with people, being friendly, outgoing, articulate and socially at ease.
    • Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.
    • Express ideas clearly and convey necessary information.
    • Facilitate group interactions.
    • Identify areas of risk/concern in area of responsibility.
    • Maintain a positive attitude in the face of criticism, rejection, or failure.
    • Constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines.
    • Identify needs and opportunities and develop action plans to address.

    • Proficient understanding of Microsoft Office with a focus in Excel.
    • Maintain confidentiality of senstitive information.
