    Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required

    •  Business Development
      • Develop profitable new business for Tech Data
      • Create new accounts for Tech Data either by acquiring new customers or by expanding existing customer base by marketing / selling new technologies.
      • Manage the onboarding of specified new customers
      • Responsible for meeting revenue, margin and profit goals associated with client base.
      • Contacts new prospects by phone or in the field facing to identify areas of opportunity.
    • Develops and implements individual account plans and an overall business plan to increase SAM share
    • Submits regular reports on performance, trends and expenses for assigned geographic region and accounts.
    • Drives to meet SLA goals assigned to ensure team meets daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly objectives
    • Demonstrates broad account and industry knowledge.

     

    •   Market Analysis / Research:
    • Assists in the analysis of available credit relative to goal achievement within the territory.
    • Evaluates competitive information, offerings, and customer needs and provides feedback to Tech Data and Vendor Partners.

     

    • Relationship Management
    • Drive loyalty to Tech Data / builds relationships
    • Maintains regular phone and mail contact with all targeted accounts.
    • Cultivates targeted accounts for future migration into the next customer segment. Oversees account management in terms of resolving and/or referring customer needs to the appropriate departments.
    • Builds influential face to face relationships with the target accounts and Vendor Partner's field sales team and key contacts.
    • Makes presentations to customer executives and regional vendor partner representatives.
    • Travels to and represents Tech Data at business partner events, seminars, trade shows and Tech Data marketing events.

     

    • Tech Data Product / Services Promotion
    • Promotes Tech Data or Vendor Partner technology tools for segment-specific sales and marketing programs.
    • Drives sales and promotion of all Tech Data specialized services.

    Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions

    4+ years high tech industry sales experience

    Required Educational:

    • HS Diploma Required , Associate Degree Required

    Preferred Educational:

    • Bachelor Degree

    Required Experience

    • 6 or more years of field experience selling information technology either as vendor, reseller/integrator or distributor.  Experience and documented success selling cloud based services public, private or hybrid required. 
    • Experience selling cloud based solutions (backup, Disaster Recovery or SaaS based) a plus. 
    • Channel experience supporting resellers in any aspect of information technology desired.  Direct sales to end customers with major cloud vendors (AWS, Azure, GCP or hosting providers) will be considered.
