    • Overview

    The Solution Consultant - IoT Trainer will have experience in training channel partners around IoT solutions and how to approach vertical markets through business value. This role is expected to have a mix of technical and consulting experience, and will be an expert in IoT channel enablement. Works with Tech Data Product Marketing and Sales teams with the reseller in recommending solutions. Educates the new or existing resellers on emerging markets or technologies. This role will also work with IoT focused vendors for technical and sales training, materials, and positioning as necessary.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Candidate should be experienced and comfortable presenting to small or large groups either virtually or in person. 
    • Candidate should possess working knowledge of web conferencing platforms i.e. WebEx and Skype.
    • Responsible for developing enablement trainings, presentations and training delivery. 
    • Researches market conditions to keep training material and content updated and relevant
    • Coordinates enablement presentations with Solutions Consultants and other specialists.
    • Assists in the development of IoT workshop content and delivery.
    • Assumes an advising role and leverages technological expertise to educate resellers in specific verticals.
    • Participates, develops and/or supports Tech Data Specialist Solution Practice (IOT) market activities, trade shows & events as assigned.

    • Able to build solid, effective working relationships with others.
    • Able to constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines.
    • Able to create and conduct formal presentations.
    • Able to express ideas clearly and convey necessary information.
    • Able to interact effectively with all levels of management.
    • Able to use relevant computer system applications (which may include spreadsheets, word processors, databases, etc.) at a basic level.
    • Able to prepare/analyze appropriate reports and other business correspondence.
    • Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.

    Required Educational:High School/G.E.D.

    Preferred Educational:Bachelor Degree

    Previous Experience (Years & Type):

    -      4+ years relevant industry experience

    Working Conditions:Professional, office environment.Some travel may be required
