Supervisor plus: Responsible for all finance transaction activities. Actively leads and manages finance/accounting functions. Develops and leads accounting activities and processing including incorporation of controls to mitigate risk and comply with Sarbanes-Oxley standards. Oversees completion of special financial reporting and implementation of new financial systems and financial procedures. Mentors and develops staff and supervisor.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required

Supervisor plus:

  • Oversees financial reporting and analysis to ensure integrity, accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provides input into the development of budget and assists with reconciliation.
  • Defines and implements new financial systems and processes for Finance and Accounting Operations.
  • Promotes a customer service focused environment in support of internal customers.
  • Drives continuous improvement initiatives within the group and cross departmentally.
  • Collaborates with IT to manage system changes and mitigate risks.
  • Manages all departmental resources.*Performs additional duties as assigned *Meets attendance and punctuality standards

  • Required Educational: Bachelor Degree Previous Experience (Years & Type):
  • Accountability: Freedom to act. Self directed, able to achieve objectives with some management input.
  • Able to direct others to reach objectives. Job Impact on end results: Company-wide Magnitude: Accounting & Finance departments along with select internal/external customers.
  • Supervisor plus approximately 3 - 10 years experience in Accounting or Finance with 1-2 years being Management experience.
  • Strong financial acumen and decision making abilities.
  • Ability to initiate projects and set timelines and expectations.
  • Ability to apply broad knowledge and experience when addressing complex issues.
  • Define strategic issues clearly despite ambiguity. Ability to make sound, timely decisions.
  • Balances strategic and tactical goals and objectives. Understands corporate objectives at all levels of the organization.
  • Breadth of Management: Span of Direct Reports - Generally manages team members doing similar tasks. May manage exempt and/or nonexempt team members. May manage supervisors as well.
  • Very good communication skills (oral and written). Adaptable to change, high decision quality, professionalism, team work, ability to recognize and reward team members, ability to hire, develop and retain talent, ability to effectively deal with employee relations issues, demonstrates leadership and self assuredness.
  • HIGH level of "self starting" thinking required for analysis, evaluation, creating, reasoning, and drawing conclusions/solutions; HIGH complexity of mental process to achieve in the role in order to come to solutions.*Able to maintain confidentiality of senstitive information.
