Overview

Manages supplier relationships via effective identification and development of strategic initiatives and key executive relationships to assigned product lines in order to achieve financial performance results. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required

Responsible for the financial market share performance and overall financial return of assigned product line(s) measured by sales, gross profit, return on materials, inventory and supplier relationships.
Identifies and incubates growth initiatives providing strategic direction and planning that facilitates effective business resource planning and that drives supplier and company results.
Cultivates executive relationships to influence strategic vision, enhance relationships and influence strategy.
Monitors sales trends, analyzes and makes recommendations based on market share and initiative targets.
Drives field engagement to obtain customer, supplier and sales team feedback,  facilitate supplier business reviews and establish required supplier training
In concert with Marketing, assists in the design, creation and implementation of marketing programs.

 

In-depth  knowledge of distribution business model
Effective written and oral presentation skills
Highly developed relationship building and negotiation skills      

Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions

Experience:                                                                                     

·        10 or more years’ experience in computer technologies, industrial distribution, strategic planning, finance, business processes and marketing planning

·          5 years of management experience

 

Education/Certification:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience.

 

Distinguishing Characteristics:

The position is integrally involved with the sales and marketing organizations and interfaces regularly with executive management both internally and externally.
