    This position will work alongside our Talent Acquisition Pipeline recruitment team on key initiatives for our business.   This team member will work on initiatives covering campus recruitment, internships, managing requisitions daily, diversity and inclusion, and projects related to various areas of Tech Data's business.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required

    Operations/ Administration:

    • Reviews applicants to evaluate if they meet the position requirements.
    • Communicates appropriately to internal candidates.
    • Conducts prescreening interviews.
    • Conducts reference and background checks for potential employees.
    • Writes and forwards rejection letters.
    • Coordinates the interviewing process.
    • Coordinates the preparation and sending of offer packages.
    • Leads the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position.
    • Efficiently and effectively fills open positions.
    • Conducts regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
    • Posts openings in newspaper advertisements, Internet sources and with professional organizations.
    • Coordinates with HR Compensation on relocation packages, compensation packages.
    • Network through Industry Contacts, Association Memberships, Trade Groups and Employees.  
    • Locates and documents where to find ideal candidates.
    • Supports the establishment of a recognizable "employer of choice" reputation for the company, both internally and externally.
    • Communicates with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads.
    • Creates contacts within industry. 
    • Attends local professional meetings and membership development meetings.
    • Maintains regular contact with possible future candidates.
    • Promotes employee referral program.

     

     

    The activities listed below may vary based on the client group being supported

     

    Campus Recruitment:

    • Drives and develops working relationships within colleges to aid in recruiting.
    • Identifies, create, coordinate and implement College Recruiting initiatives
    • Supports the coordination of college recruiting initiatives.
    • Attends career fairs for recruiting and company recognition.
    • Promotes campus activity internally to identify business leaders to partner and attend campus events.
    • Creates and Coordinates presentations at colleges.
    • Attends student group meetings, and increases college awareness of the company before and after career fairs.
    • Drives and promotes Tech Data’s internship programs.
    • Maintains and develops relationships with past and current interns to build a long term candidate pipeline.
    • Manages and maintains internship conversion results.

     Diversity Management:

    • Executes diversity initiatives such as InRoads, BPDA, BMBA conference and other staffing programs as required.
    • Supports HR Leadership Team in the development and implementation of plans / programs to meet company's Affirmative Action goals.
    • Monitors organizational diversity objectives and progress in these areas that are specifically related to hiring; executes corrective action plans to improve performance in this area.

     

    Employment Processes:

    • Recommends and implements process improvements for employment operations
    • Reports to upper management on staffing initiatives and results.
    • Recommends process improvements that are in compliance with company policies.
    • Communicates and interacts regularly with the management/HR Directors of assigned client groups in order to identify emerging employment process issues.
    • Works with HR leaders to identify and incorporate recruitment staffing benchmarks, metrics, goals and best practices.
    • Responsible for employment data accuracy and integrity. 
    • Partners with HR Subject Matter Experts (Generalists / Compensation) to ensure that job descriptions for posted positions accurately reflect roles and responsibilities.

    Knowledge and/or expertise in related area of responsibility.

    • Min 1 year of recuiting experience
    • Possess strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.
    • Able to negotiate skillfully, promote/sell ideas persuasively, and close transactions with mutually beneficial results.
    • PHR or SPHR preferred.
    • Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
