Overview

Provides budgeting, forecasting, and analytical support to Logistics Operations. Provides quarterly budgeting and regular reporting and forecasting for Logistics Operations. Assists in the preparation and analysis of ad hoc operational or financial performance reports.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required

May Include:

  • Work with models for analyzing logistics volume and productivity, forecast head-count and cost required to support expected volume
  • Use Crystal Reports to extract data
  • Use Microsoft Excel and Access heavily to compile data
  • Build and maintain executive dashboards using Tableau
  • Perform cost/benefit and ROI analyses on logistics initiatives
  • Ad hoc analyses for management
  • Maintain systems applications and recurring processes, makes adjustments and creates new recurring processes
  • Compile and loads data received from other departments utilizing spreadsheet and database applications
  • Assist in preparation for management reviews and budgeting activities
  • Validate accuracy of reported numbers
  • Maintain management reports, makes adjustments and creates new recurring reports
  • Distribute reports and reviews results as needed with internal customers in Logistics and Operations
  • Coordinate robust testing plans for new enhancements
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Meet attendance and punctuality standards

Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions

  • Bachelors or above, preferably in in Finance/Accounting, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management
  • Entry level position; Approximately 0 - 3 years experience in Accounting, Finance, or Accounting Systems 
  • Works independently with appropriate level of supervision
  • Uses collaborative thinking with assistance from manager and other analysts
  • Possesses strong organizational, time management, and good prioritizing skills in driving tasks to completion
  • Ability to quickly determine source of problem and identifies information needed to solve problem
  • Ability to diagnoses problems efficiently and makes sound, timely decisions
  • Demonstrates a sound knowledge of Logistics Operations and the ability to understand issues within the role
  • Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Able to quickly learn new systems and technology
  • Able to troubleshoot system-related problems
  • Able to execute instructions and to request clarification when needed
  • Able to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Able to express ideas clearly and convey necessary information
