Provides analytical support to a specific functional area, department, or division. Develops and maintains BW reporting structures, reports and workbooks. Prepares and analyzes ad hoc operational or financial performance reports. Develops and provides regular reporting for assigned area/department/division.  Provides summaries of data explaining cause and effect of business trends and anomalies and provides conclusions. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required


  • Develops and maintains SAP BW reports, structure and workbooks
  • Coordinates robust testing plans for new enhancements.
  • Validates accuracy of reported #s Maintains management reports.
  • Provides support to the accounting team during month-end and year-end close as required.
  • Maintains systems applications, including managing users, profiles, account access, security, and troubleshooting issues
  • Compiles and loads data received from other departments utilizing spreadsheet and database applications.
  • Assists in preparation for management reviews and budgeting activities, as required
  • Performs monthly variance analysis for functional area/division.
  • Performs cost/benefit, ROI and ad hoc analyses for management
  • Develops basic/intermediate models for analyzing new business opportunities, efficiency initiatives, or other business issues
  • Prepares management reviews as required
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
  • Meets attendance and punctuality standards

Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


Required Educational: Associate Degree, Bachelors or above preferred; Approximately 1 - 7 years experience in Accounting, Finance, or Accounting Systems Analyst I plus the following:


  • Ability to manage smaller scale projects by tracking deadlines and collecting/organizing information.
  • Ability to manage large amounts of data.
  • Knowledge of Accounting general ledger structures.
  • Knowledge and application of intermediate Excel and Basic/Intermediate Access
  • Understands P&L, Balance Sheet and general accounting impacts
  • Ability to create and maintain forecasting models and provide trend analysis.
  • Self starter required for analysis, evaluation, creating, reasoning, and drawing conclusions/solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Understands the impact of elements and processes as they relate to their functional area.
  • Develops knowledge of resources necessary for guidance when applicable.
  • Identifies issues that require escalation and apply appropriate level of escalation.
  • Able to perform intermediate mathematical and financial calculations.
  • Ability to identify areas of risk and exposure and presents alternative solutions. Understands a long-term, big picture view and identifies obstacles and opportunities in their particular functional area.
  • Builds solid and effective working relationships with others and displays ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others.
