Reports, analyzes and interprets financial and operating data for accounting and business operations management. Generates financial forecasts and creates financial models to support the organization's financial and business planning decisions. Such activities may include the following as well as other duties as assigned:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Provides analytical support to management to include P&L projections/forecasts, scenario planning, ratio analysis, budgeting, and cost analysis related to business models.
  • Prepares journal entries, calculates accruals, allocates expenses, and closely interacts with the accounting team during the month-end close process.
  • Responds to written and verbal information requests from internal customers and others as assigned.
  • Develops financial reports for forecasting, trending, and narrative results analysis for management.
  • Develops and distributes standard and ad-hoc monthly reporting.
  • Reviews and analyzes reports in order to verify results.
  • Works with management to develop, monitor and report out on key performance indicators for the business.
  • Assists with the development, preparation, and presentation of short- and long-range financial plans.

  • Might supervise 1 - 2 individuals who provide tactical/operational support.
  • Represents organization as a prime contact on projects or contracts.
  • Interacts frequently with senior professionals and management and often has to coordinate the work between departments or organizations.
  • Actions impact the organization.
  • Failure to accomplish work or erroneous decisions will result in the inability to reach crucial organizational goals and may have a prolonged effect, as well as, result in the expenditure of substantial resources.

Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions

Work Experience: Typically 6-9 years with bachelors' or equivalent or 4-7 years with master's


Education and Certification(s): Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Distinguishing Characteristics: Knowledge of GAAP and complex accounting systems
