Overview

This position provides technical, analytical and administrative support to business leaders and HR Business Partners in the area of corporate compensation. This position is responsible for participating in compensation surveys, job evaluations, internal equity analysis, determining job classifications, and provides support/analysis for the common merit increase process and quarterly, semi-annual and annual executive bonus processes.  Also provides corporate compensation functional support in the processing of employment requisitions, support and development of job descriptions and managing the job description database.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required

  • Completes job evaluations, assisting leaders in creating job descriptions/job questionnaires, FLSA reviews and market data reviews. This position will manage the job description database and job competencies.
  • Resolves routine compensation concerns and responds to issues and questions from departmental managers, supervisors, and other staff. 
  • Monitors the comp shared mailbox and forwards work to team members as appropriate while responding to, and addressing, other items. 
  • Assists with the coordination and execution of the annual merit planning process, market re-fresh and merit increase process.
  • Assists with the coordination and execution of the executive bonus planning process, including quarterly, semi-annual and annual bonus payout processes.
  • Reviews and completes Payroll Audit Reports.
  • Completes compensation survey submissions and assists with the analysis of results to ensure the competitiveness of Tech Data
  • Assists manager and senior level analysts on compensation projects
  • Provides administrative support for all compensation plans such as: running reports, consolidate information, complete offer letters, bonus letters, etc.
  • Reviews and approves compensation data on employment requisitions in iCims, to include targeted hiring ranges, grades and incentive information.
  • Assists HR Business Partners with reviewing/approving promotions, compensation recommendations, new hires and other compensation changes.    
  • Responsible for accurate recordkeeping and reporting of year end mobility/domestic relocation tax reporting with W2, T-4 impact; will collaborate throughout the year with Tech Data Payroll Managers, Corporate Travel and Budgets to accomplish accurate reporting.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions

Previous Work Experience:

 

  • Minimum of two to four years’ experience corporate compensation experience
  • High level of proficiency in MS Excel & MS Word required.
  • Access and/or experience with Market Pay a plus

Education/Certifications:

  • Required:  Bachelor Degree in HR, Business, Finance or Management in lieu of Degree 5 years of combined work experience corporate compensation can be substituted.
  • CCP certification preferred.

  • Able to use relevant computer system applications (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access HR ERP system) atleast at intermediate level.
  • Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.
