Provides overall direction, guidance and definition for IT and Business leadership to effectively support the corporate business strategy. Interfaces across several business areas, acting as a visionary to pro-actively assist in defining the direction for future projects. Responsible for conception of solutions, building consensus and the selling and execution of such solutions while ensuring that the design and integration of proposed solutions lead to the development and growth of the business through effective use of technology.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required

  • Works with all areas of the business to develop creative, pragmatic, discreet, economic, effective and flexible processes and technology approaches.
  • Brings analytic, information technology, problem solving, process design, communication and negotiation skills to the benefit of the business units, to aid the development of process and application system concepts, needs and opportunities.
  • Responsible for actionable strategies to solve business problems or seize new opportunities. 
  • Will have been notable for outstanding facilitation ability and success gathering organizational consensus, requiring them to have a solid professional demeanor, positive attitude, business credibility and great interpersonal style.
  • Facilitates the development and refinement of business processes and business systems engineering across the enterprise
  • Develops and maintains credibility and effective working relations with both customer management and IT personnel in a way that demonstrates an understanding of business problems, as well as IT strategies, issues, and priorities.
  • Informs and advises on information systems technologies' functionality, costs, benefits and implementation requirements, and provides services such as facilitating priority setting and brokering contracts on behalf of customers.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned

Specific to StreamOne:

  • Partner in the creation and dissemination of S1 vision (including evolution and future products whether based directly or indirectly on today’s S1 technology)
  • Develop, communicate, and get buy-in for comprehensive marketplace strategy based on current situation and longer term horizons
  • Maintain view of competitive landscape
  • Define key customer and partner needs
  • Suggest business and related technology directions to address anticipated customer and partner needs, and qualities which will promote TD as a “new wave technology distribution thought leader”
  • Drive acquisitions and key technology partnerships (when applicable), and identify possible targets
  • Primary investigator of target’s capabilities, strengths, weaknesses, strategic fit and value
  • Coordination with S1 product team members and other TD department associates to quick, efficiently, and effectively integrate acquisitions

Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions

Below attributes are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

  • High School diploma/GED required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 7 years of experience is required in either IT business systems analysis in corporate environments, or business unit experience with intense involvement to IT development and implementation of large-scale systems
  • Previous experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement is expected.  Outstanding facilitation ability and success gathering organizational consensus, requiring a solid professional demeanor, positive attitude, business credibility and great interpersonal style.  General industry knowledge of technology vendors, applications and trends
  • Able to be diplomatic when handling calls/correspondence for Management
  • Able to analyze and resolve complex issues and problems in a sound and timely fashion
  • Able to assimilate research data from a variety of sources, analyze, and recommend appropriate courses of action to take
  • Able to build solid, effective working relationships with others
  • Able to constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines
  • Able to avoid win/loss situations and ensure productive resolutions of conflict
  • Able to interact effectively with all levels of management
  • Able to display assertiveness and a high level of self-confidence
