Overview

Provide strategic analysis, planning and leadership across all TSA suppliers to create and develop market strategies and standards that result in the delivery of world-class marketing service to Avnet partners and suppliers. Working with the Sales and Supplier organizations this role will drive marketing campaigns designed to drive financial performance by aligning marketing strategies to supplier business requirements to drive revenue and margin enhancement through effectively targeting areas to drive maximum financial returns.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required

Principal Responsibilities: 

  • Drives the development and delivery of specific brand identity standards aligned with the overall supplier business focus.
  • Determines the overall strategic focus of market research and analysis that serves as the basis for the creation of distinct product and/or brand messaging for product/service offerings, defined value proposition or new product introduction for each supplier. 
  • Develops the messaging and planning that delivers an effective array of supplier brand awareness campaigns both internally and externally that results in effective brand management across the entire TSA organization. 
  • Provides the leadership for the development and implementation of toolsets that enable each supplier to consistently achieve success in their specific go-to- market methodology. 
  • Working with Marcom and Events, provides direction for supplier specific internal and external communications, select sponsorships, industry events and executive communications positioning the targeted messaging and support consistent with the suppliers brand strategy.
  • Monitors the overall market direction and critical business metrics adjusting and communicating specific marketing program changes to internal constituencies that ensure clarity of goals and resource alignment with the overarching supplier revenue requirements. 
  • Provides leadership and management direction to assigned team.
  • Manages supplier MDF funds to ensure all programmatic requirements are fulfilled and the supplier receives a high level of return on the investment.
  • Defines training needs of the organization to ensure continuous employee development.

  • Demonstrated effective negotiation skills. 
  • Working knowledge and experience in the effective use of financial analysis and profit management techniques. 
  • An in-depth knowledge of business financial requirements and measurements.
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication, presentation and business planning skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence individuals and groups across and within Avnet and Suppliers' management organization with particular emphasis on successes at the highest executive levels.    

Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions

Work Experience:  

Fifteen years of progressively more responsible executive sales and/or marketing experience in the technology industry or related field including at least five years leadership experience over senior managers and diverse functions.  

Education and Certification(s): 

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or the equivalent professional level knowledge based on other formal coursework
