    This Global Project Manager (non IT) has varied situational applications which all require specific extensive expert level technical knowledge and leadership in the successful design, development and on time and on budget completion of large projects that have significant financial impact to the organization.


    Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required

    • Is the primary driving focus for proposed projects having significant financial
      impact to the organization with final responsibility for success across in all
      impacted areas of the project.
    • Exercises independent judgment and is given the authority to make decisions as it
      pertains to assigned “enterprise” project.
    • Analyzes requirements to develop project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing,
      scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available
    • Prepares outlines and project timelines for selected proposal and develops related
      data and documentation requirements as appropriate including; project status
      reports, customer information, requirements documents for each assignment
    • Leads interface with subject matter experts to ensure technical requirements and
      proposed solutions are compelling and accurate.
    • Ensures developed information is consistent with all required project standards and
      consistently incorporates required business results objectives.
    • Prepare outlines and project timelines for selected project segment efforts and
      researches alternatives for best solutions.
    • Prepare a variety of periodic and ad hoc reports for technical management and
      business groups and distribute project related data and documentation as
      appropriate including; project status reports, vendor/customer information, and
      requirements documents customized for each specific new project segment
    • Creates customized graphics that support tracking and documenting project
      development milestones against defined standards.
    • Makes recommendations for adjustment to project processes to improve
      opportunity results.
    • Serves as the primary interface on issues regarding expectations and project
      deliverables developing and maintaining project documentation and managing
      project issues, decisions and risks, including escalations.
    • Direct and coordinates activities of assigned project personnel to ensure project
      progresses on schedule and within budget providing leadership and motivation to
      project team members throughout the project life cycle.
    • Provides leadership mentoring and leadership to the proposal team assisting in
      defining and obtaining performance metrics.
    • Participates in resolution of issues regarding quality, consistency, responsiveness,
    • Develops methods to improve project results measurement and analysis.
    • Provides support to balance individual and team workload demands.


    Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions

    Work experience requirements:

    • Minimum of seven years of progressively more responsible experience in a
      distribution or related industry environment with at least three years of
      demonstrated growth experience in creating and delivering complex project with
      significant financial impact.

    Education & Certification Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Marketing or a related field
    • Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent project management or process
    • or have an equivalent combination of formal education and directly
      related work experience.

    Distinguishing Characteristics:

    • This is a senior contributor having significant impact on business financials


    Knowledge and Skill:

    • Demonstrated ability to think critically and draw from several resources to create
      clear and concise project documents.
    • Demonstrated success in utilizing project management skills and solid
      understanding of project management methodologies, tools and techniques in
      specific projects.
    • Business analysis experience.
    • Demonstrated success in implementing effective organization skills
    • Demonstrated attention for detail and exceptional writing abilities in extensive
      document development
    • Demonstrated written, oral and presentation skills
    • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft tools including Word, Visio, PowerPoint
    • Demonstrated successful project completions that required team building and
      coaching skills with the ability to foster strong working relationships between
      project teams, user communities, management and vendors.
