  • Overview

    This individual will assess technical accounting implications for complex business issues and transactions, including, but not limited to, business acquisitions, revenue recognition, stock compensation, leases, and consideration received from vendors.  The candidate will also be involved with monitoring new accounting literature and SEC rules and analyzing the impact on the Company, as well as assisting with updates to the Company’s uniform accounting principles. This position will assist in the preparation and/or review of SEC filings, including 10-K, 10-Q, Proxy, 8-K and other documents as necessary. The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, proactive and service oriented with strong communication and presentation skills.  This role performs reviews of  Sr. Accountants, SEC Reporting & Tech Research work as cursory review prior to submission as well.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required

    • Assess technical accounting implications for complex business transactions and prepare written accounting and financial reporting position papers on an as-needed basis for review by management and external auditors
    • Assist in quarterly and annual process for filing the Form 10-Q & 10-K, including preparation and review of documents, ensuring quality, and coordinating review by senior management and external legal counsel under strict time deadlines
    • Prepare and present training and other presentations on a variety of accounting topics to worldwide finance personnel
    • Perform both remote and on-site balance sheet review procedures related to the Company’s subsidiary financial
    • Additional duties as assigned

    Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions

    Work Experience 

    • 5+ years of increasingly responsible accounting and reporting experience
    • Big 4 certified public accounting firm and/or large SEC registrant experience strongly preferred

    Education Required

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA a plus

     

     

    Certifications Preferred

    • CPA required
