Job Summary:  Responsible for understanding the leading Mobility supplier solutions and working with our Services organization and vendor teams to develop Enterprise Mobility offerings which are sold through our partners and potentially include hardware, software and services components. While not responsible for Mobility product sales directly, this role will be influencing multi-vendor Mobility solutions and internal/external sales enablement, as well as program development / management of mobility partner programs and initiatives. Such activities may include the following as well as other duties as assigned:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required

Principal Responsibilities: 

  • Accountable to develop and execute a competitive and profitable solutions practice, sold through our partner network, with an emphasis on solutions that Tech Data can monetize
  • Works with a team to identify new solution offerings using the available Tech Data Supplier products
  • Provides program management for new solutions and work with applicable internal Tech Data teams to develop the identified solutions
  • Researches and stays current with latest solutions in identified focus areas
  • Identification and analysis of new vendors and partners who could represent high growth opportunities for Tech Data
  • Works with partner facing sales teams to enable partners on our solutions
  • Develops a vertical market (retail, healthcare, finance, energy) strategy for our solutions
  • Works with the Tech Data Government Solutions organization to engage with our offerings in the public sector
  • Teams with TechData vendor and adjacent SBU teams to create and deliver multi-vendor and cross-SBU solutions to be sold through our partners
  • Teams with the Tech Data Embedded organization for any solutions which need to be built in our integrations centers and sold through our partners
  • Works with the Tech Data Services organization to ensure our solutions have a services component
  • Assist in establishing and executing a Go To Marketing plan for our solutions
  • Participates in industry conferences and events and help establish Tech Data as a dominant solutions distributor (speaking engagements, whitepaper development, blog postings, etc.)

  • Effective knowledge of the process of how end-user customers buy and leverage solution (ROI and business benefit positioning)
  • Effective working knowledge of how TechData customers (VAR, ISV, OEM) deliver solutions in the market
  • Industry Knowledge required. Application of the technology to different markets.

Thorough knowledge of principles, theories and concepts in area of professional expertise. Is competent in all job functions and has general understanding of the industry practices, techniques and standards. Develops solutions to a wide variety of problems and works on projects requiring evaluation and analysis.  May refer to policies, practices and precedents for guidance but determines best course of action to achieve results. Work is performed independently requiring judgment and discretion.  May receive some limited guidance for new assignments. Work may be reviewed for overall adequacy. Interacts with management and professionals within department and other parts of the organization. May represent department externally on projects or with clients. Actions impact the success of the overall department and sometimes the organization. Failure to accomplish work or erroneous decisions will result in delays to projects, loss of revenue or allocation of additional resources to remedy.
