Sells data center hardware and services. Develops and maintains strategic customer relationships to facilitate the sale and purchase of hardware and services from various accounts. Such activities may include the following as well as other duties as assigned.
Principal Responsibilities: Responsible for handling inbound/outbound inquiries from prospective and/or existing customers via telephone, e-mail, on-line and/or chat for an assigned product line or customer. Builds rapport with customers by responding to questions, probing for needs and recommending appropriate solutions. Conducts product or services focused campaigns having a knowledge of complex business solutions to sell offerings to new customers and upgrade or expand existing customers, current products and services. Identifies and qualifies prospective customers, maintains customer records in a customer relationship management system (contacts, email addresses, phone numbers, etc.), and enterprise resource planning system, completes required documentation and records sales prospecting activity in computer-based tracking system. Provides accurate and detailed pricing, quotes, and input on product market values. Responds to Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI) and helps author Statements of Work (SOW). Achieves annual quota. Schedules conference calls, on-site meetings and product demonstrations. Maintains and grows customer relationships with onsite visits, facility tours and strategic planning sessions. Establishes and cultivates relationships with sales team, and delivery partners to drive demand for products or services and/or assist in closing sales. Complete monthly and/or quarterly sales forecasts. Maintain sales pipeline in a customer relationship planning system. May assist with trade show preparation and/or digital marketing projects. May attend customer-facing events for lead generation. May work with logistics and operations in properly processing sales, purchase orders, return merchandise and RTVs. May work with accounting in helping collect accounts receivable as needed. Job Level Specifications: Expert knowledge of assigned product/service line and broad understanding of how they integrate with the organization's entire product/service line. Typically works on a cross-section of large and/or prominent accounts with several changing variables and complexity. Work is performed under very limited direction. Has considerable latitude in determining best approach to sales and service tasks. Maintains excellent rapport with existing clients and frequently interacts directly with new prospects to build customer base and increase sales. Provides input to sales management. Actions impact the organization. Failure to accomplish work or meet customer expectations will result in the inability to reach crucial organizational sales goals and may cause long-term damage to client relationships.
Work Experience: Typically 6-9 years with a Bachelor's or equivalent Education and Certification(s): Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
